Condo Rentals —The Hardest Part is Deciding Which One!
Why Condo Rentals?
On some beaches, the hotel is the place to stay. On others, it’s a beach house. At Orange Beach, the condo is king! From the time you approach the beach, you will see one condo after another.
That’s a good thing! You can rent a condo in Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, or Fort Morgan for little more than you would pay for a hotel room in many places—and a condo offers so much more. Most of them have fully-equipped kitchens, washers, dryers, and lots of other amenities. Think you can’t afford a condo? Try again. I’ll bet you can.
Now that we have taken care of that issue, how do you decide which one to choose? There’s price, of course. You know the old saw, “You get what you pay for.” It’s true much of the time, but not always. Especially in the peak season, they all seem high!
How about location? That’s important, too, depending on what you want. You could stay right in the middle of Gulf Shores, nearer the point at Orange Beach, or out at Fort Morgan.
How about amenities? They’re usually listed, but you need details. I did my homework once several years ago, even calling to confirm that the resort I was considering had everything I was looking for. Yes, the voice at the end of the line assured me. We have all of those things. You’ll love it here.
We didn’t. Love it, that is. In fact, we didn’t even stay there. Instead, we talked them into giving us our deposit back and scrambled to find another place! In case you’re wondering, Ivan did that place in, so you don’t have to worry about it.
Back to my point: A picture can be touched up and details can be glossed over. Picking a place to stay on the Internet can be full of pitfalls.
That’s where I come in. I’d like to help out by giving you the information you need to make a good decision on a condo rental at the Alabama Gulf Coast.
Of course, I’ll have to start with my favorites!
But I’ll be glad to add your favorites, too—but more about that later.
Now, let's start with the condo I know most about—the Phoenix properties. It’s the largest, with over a dozen buildings and still growing.
Let's take a tour of the Phoenix!
I think my favorite of all is The Beach Club. Find out why . . .
More to come--much, much more!
