Orange Beach Fun? Who Said That?

You're probably wondering who is behind this Orange Beach web site--we don't blame you. We like to know who we're dealing with, too. We're John and Martine a couple of boomers who have been visiting the Alabama Gulf Coast for most of our lives.

Why build a web site on Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and the surrounding area? Well, the main reason is that we love the beach--and we think our beach is the best!

Like many of you, we watched in horror as Ivan wreaked destruction on our beautiful Gulf Coast beaches. Like you, we have watched with interest as the coast is reborn, with construction everywhere--

Just a little about us before we go any further. Martine is a retired principal and current university professor--I do the majority of my work online, so I have the flexibility to travel quite a bit now. I am also a writer, with three books in print and several hundred articles published, primarily for a statewide denominational paper.

John is a contractor and landlord, with quite a few rental units in service. Since our oldest son joined him in the business, he is also free to travel more--which brings us to our favorite topic--the Alabama Gulf Coast!

You have probably already guessed that Martine is doing the writing on the web site, but John is no less involved, taking pictures and scouting out information that will help you have the most fun at Orange Beach!

But that's more than enough about us. Why did we build this site? Why, to share the wonderful Alabama Gulf Coast with everyone! We thought you would want a place where you can go to get honest recommendations. If so, this is the place. We don't have anything to sell or anything to rent, but we do have extensive experience with Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and the surrounding area.

We have been through the stress of deciding where to stay, where to eat, and what to do while at Orange Beach.

We're here to help!

It may take a while to build, but our plan is to build a comprehensive site that gives you all the information you need to plan your beach vacation.
